Nambu Tekki is the ironware created by highly skilled craftsmen in Nambu domain, which is now Iwate prefecture of Japan. Nambu ironware dates back to the early 17th century when the iron kettle craftsmen were invited from Kyoto by the feudal lord.
With the development of tea ceremony, Tetsubin (iron kettle) and Kyusu (teapot) have been identified as the quintessential of Nambu ironware. At MONOLAB, the Tetsubin is designed to be able to use with both the gas stove and the induction heating system. Also, our colourful collections of Kyusu will make your teatime more enjoyable.
