Incense

It is widely believed that incense was brought to Japan over 1400 years ago, along with the conveyance of Buddhism. Historically, Japanese incense has often been cherished and used for religious occasions, in the social routine of samurai warriors, and more.

During the Edo period, incense became popular among all classes, as it was established as a tradition for all Japanese culture. Centuries later, the living style has changed but the appreciation and pride for incense in Japanese culture remains the same.
